By-election Dim-wittery costs WSotE candidates

Winsfordians are breathing a sigh of relief, following the outcome of the recent by-election, in which Cllr Simon Boone (WSote CWAC) demonstrated an all time low in popularity, hoovering up a mere 30 votes and costing WSotE (WTC) hopeful Dave Edwards the victory1), which instead went to Cllr Dave Moorcroft.
Even compared to his (our) own rival, Dave Edwards - who over 5x as many votes - Simon Boone has had a terrible day - but hey - We fielded a Dave, and a Dave won. What more do you want?
The vote split was:
- Dave Moorcroft (Lab): 171
- David Edwards (WSotE WTC): 160
- Anthony Broughton (unaligned): 33
- Simon Boone (tosser): 30
