CWAC Cllr Simon Boone admits interference in local by-election

Picture of Simon Boone's Facebook postDemonstrating his usual lack of forethought, CWAC Cllr Simon Boone has publicly admitted that he interfered in the recent Dene by-election, causing WSotE hopeful candidate to lose to the local Labour candidate, Dave Moorcroft.

In a shock characteristically rash Facebook1) rant against ourselves, Cllr Boone (CWAC) revealed that he had not entered the by-election in order to win, stating:

"Ps if I wanted to win I'd have knocked on
doors and delivered leaflets"

We can only assume, then, that Cllr Boone entered the election with the intention to cost fellow rival WSotE candidate Dave Edwards crucial votes.

Had Simon not interfered, Dave Edwards (WSotE) could have had a Majority of as much as 19 votes.

Instead, the day was won by Cllr Dave Moorcroft, by just 10 votes.

This ill thought out political meddling clearly demonstrates Cllr Boone's lack of respect for Winsford voters.

Cllr Boone has made many claims about his political opponents locally, but has been most vocal against Labour councillors. It seems baffling that he would now choose to install a Labour candidate rather than a member of the party he claims to have started.

Most puzzling of all, how does Cllr Boone think that any of this benefits Winsford residents? Does he secretly believe the Labour candidate will do a better job?

What is he trying to tell us?
