Cllr Mandy Clare¹⁾²⁾³⁾ is a TERF, who lives over 20 miles from Winsford, and so cannot be on the town council (much to the relief of many Winsford residents).

Despite this, they are supported by Cllr Simon Boone, although confusingly, his personal mouthpiece the Winsford Residents Association⁴⁾, criticised the previous council for having councillors from as “far” afield as Davenham and Moulton.

Cllr Mandy Clare knows how to make friends, however, and has been so good at it, that they are now unpopular with other WSotE Councillors.

Cllr Mandy Clare's transphobic views have driven a wedge into the WSotE party, and Cllr Stella Mellor and Cllr Lorraine Murphy have quit WSotE and become independents, in a nice Win for Winsford.

Cllr Clare's obnoxious views were easy to find online before the election, although they did not appear to express them during the election period, presumably so they would be accepted into WSotE. We're sorry about that.

It turns out that this is a tactic that has served Cllr Mandy Clare well in the past, and they leave in their wake a trail of projects and organisations that they have had short, but catastrophic involvements with, until they have either been thrown out of them, or quit.
